I am a virtual-parapalegic today. Yesterday 8 of us started a second 8 week session with Sue of Monumental Fitness. Its allegedly a ski conditioning class, but with the poor snow, there's been no opportunity yet to see how it works.
All I know is that plyometrics is just a fancy-schmancy word for torture. Quads, glutes, hamstrings, calves and everything connected to said parts is a new kind of sore. This is after 8 weeks of ramping up.
I know it sounds like whining, but I love this class. Getting up at 5am is tough, but every Tuesday and Thursday, by 6:30, I'm glad I did it. I'm glad today as well, just experiencing more evidence of the cost involved in staying fit at my somewhat-advanced-age.
